IANS Delegate Resources
The Iowa Association of Nursing Students assembles each year a body of delegates, students representing their respective universities and schools of nursing. This body shall read, discuss, and ratify changes to the IANS bylaws and resolutions to adopt official stances on critical issues in nursing.
Delegate Counts are based on NSNA S-2 Report that is published weekly. This report can be found on the NSNA website. The delegate count will be updated monthly for registration purposes.

- 2 delegates for every 10 members
- 1 delegate for every 5 members
- Example, if your school has 46 members, you would receive 9 delegates. (46 / 10 = 4 x2 = 8; Leftover 6 = +1 delegate. Total: 9 delegates)
Delegates will be seated in a closed section of the convention.
Delegates must wear their designation sticker above their waist.
